I’ve called out the 2011 model of Forester, I am hoping that the description and picture of the heat control knobs are correct. The manual found in my 2010, copyrighted in 2009, shows incorrect knobs. The 2010 model has control knobs that are dual purposed. One function is accessed when the dial is turned. Another function is called when the button ring is pushed in. THAT is the mystery to be learned today.
In the 2011 manual, page 18, section 2. is incorrect. To increase the temp and to decrease the temp, it is recommended that you turn the knob clockwise. To decrease the temp, you should turn the knob anti-clockwise, or counter clockwise.
